The Chris Burger Petro Jackson Players’ FundThe Chris Burger Petro Jackson Players’ Fund is a non-profit and public benefit organisation, providing physical, psychological and emotional assistance to rugby players who have sustained serious, life altering head, neck and spine injuries.
The organisation is known as Rugby’s Caring Hands, and since 1980 has provided support to over 500 seriously injured players. Ollie became a beneficiary of the Players’ Fund in 2015, where he stands alongside other rugby players whose lives were changed by similar injuries.
The Players’ Fund has provided Ollie with the mobility equipment he requires to lead as independent a life as possible.
This independence has enabled Ollie to move into the world of coffee – his passion and now business venture.
The Players’ Fund has been nominated as Ollie’s charity of choice, with a financial contribution being made to them with every retail packet of coffee sold. This gesture and commitment further strengthens the duty of care that is extended to the fallen heroes of the game loved by so many.
